Lawman: While Dan and Johnny are returning to the office with their prisoner, Billy Deal, someone takes a shot at them. They look around, but find nothing. Deal is to be held overnight and then placed on the train to Casper the next afternoon. The following morning Dan learns that an old enemy, Frank Boone, is in town. Boone, who is also a wanted man, tells Dan that he has been offered a full pardon if he takes Billy back to Montana. Dan warns him not to try anything or he will have to take him down.
